1. Lake Trasimeno

Situated in the center of the country, surrounded by eight towns in the Umbria region, is
one of Italy’s largest lakes. The shallow waters make it a perfect spot for swimming as
well as fishing. Historic castles grace the lake shores and the one of three of the lake’s
islands still operates as a 15th century fishing village.
