Now that you have understood why carrying lithium batteries is prohibited, even putting electronics with such batteries is risky and should be placed in a carry on luggage for safety concerns. However, it would be best not to put any electronics, even without a lithium battery, in that luggage. There are also chances it may get damaged or stolen from the cargo compartment.

  • Jewelry

Although there are no restrictions on putting jewelry in your check in luggage, it would be best to carry them, any valuables for that matter, with you in your carry-ons. It is wise to do so to prevent them from getting lost. If you put the valuables in your carry on bag, you can then keep a close watch on it.

  • Battery Powered Electronic Cigarettes And Vaping Devices

Lithium batteries power electronic cigarettes and vaping devices, and hence they are only allowed to be carried in your carry luggage. You cannot put these devices in your check in bags because of the safety concerns mentioned earlier.

  • Medication

There is no rule that you cannot put any medications in your check in luggage, but it will be wise to carry them in your carry ons. The reason behind it is that there chances of your luggage getting lost, which will then prevent you from taking your medicines on time.
